API URL

The API URL is the endpoint your application sends requests to.

What the API URL Does

The API URL tells your application where to send requests. After VLX FLUX receives the request, it processes it based on the API key, request path, and platform rules.

A typical request flow looks like this:

text
Client App -> VLX FLUX API URL -> OpenAI / Claude / Other Upstream Models

Base URL

When integrating SDKs or API tools, you will often see fields such as base_url, baseURL, or API_BASE_URL. These usually refer to the base API URL.

Example:

text
https://api.vlxflux.io/v1

Request Path

The base URL is usually combined with a specific request path, for example:

text
https://api.vlxflux.io/v1/chat/completions

Where:

  • https://api.vlxflux.io/v1 is the base API URL
  • /chat/completions is the specific request path

Integration Checklist

  • Make sure the protocol is correct, such as https://.
  • Make sure the version suffix like /v1 is present when required.
  • Confirm whether your SDK expects a full endpoint or only the base URL.
  • Avoid appending /v1 twice.

FAQ

Why does my request fail when using the VLX FLUX URL?

Common reasons include an incorrect API URL, invalid API key, duplicated path segments, unsupported model names, or network access issues. Start with a minimal request to verify connectivity.
